Hot Springs between Vegas and Yosemite
Mar 4th, 2010 at 12:38pm

10 years ago I was traveling with friends from Las Vegas to Yosemite along 395 and we met a local who we followed to the best natural pools I've ever experienced.  I hate to be so vague but all I remember is they were about the half way point and were on the west side of 395, really warm, sandy bottom with the Sierras as the backdrop.  We turned off 395 onto unmarked dirt road.  Does anyone have any idea where this might have been, what they are called and how to get there?  Any info will be greatly appreciated!!

It must be Keough Hot Ditch.  It's halfway between Big Pine and Bishop.  There's a sign for Keough Hot Springs, which has a really nice pool and campground.  The springs are just east of the pool.  You might see cars parked along a dirt road just south of the main road to the Springs.  There are several nice pools to soak in.

Good luck
